This Morning

These are some other flowers which i photographed this morning. 

Phalaenopsis bellina

Another Paph.bellatullum flowering recently.

The constant rain for the past few months did a lot of damage to my paphs.  Many of them suffered bacteria rot almost at a rate of one leaf a day and i lost many plants including some which i had been growing for more than ten years.  The damage is brought under control only with lots of Physan and keeping the affected plants dry and away from the others. 

Phalaenopsis violacea

This is a nice violacea bought during the WOC in 2011.

Recently, there is an increase in the number of nice violaceas from Taiwan.  These plants have good color and shape and the price is reasonable. 

Paphiopedillum bellatulum

This is a nice bellatulum bought during the recent WOC. 

Phalaenopsis Seletar Tiger var 'Hot Chocolate'

This is a darker variety of Phal. Seletar Tiger, a cross made by MH nursery.  The typical Phal. Seletar Tiger has flowers whose color fades afer it opens for a few days.  The variety 'Hot Chocolate' however, does not suffer from color fading.

Phalaenopsis amboinensis 'Common'

This is a beautiful Phal. amboinensis 'Common' bought during the recent WOC.  Compared to the normal amboinensis 'Common' this plant has flowers with darker and bolder bands.  It is a pure 'Common' form and not a cross with the yellow form of amboinensis.

A Few Phalaenopsis bellina

These are a few Phal. bellina flowering now.

 All are of good rounded form, typical of bellinas from MH nursery.
