Phalaenopsis amboinensis

After a long rest, this plant is finally flowering again.  This is an exceptionally beautiful specimen with very dense and clean bars.

Dendrobium chrysotoxum

Dendrobium chrysotoxum flowers are fully open and they have a strong jasmine-like fragrance.  This dendrobium does not flower easily in Singapore cos they are usually found at higher elevations (700m to 1000m).  In cooler parts of asia such as Yunnan and northern thailand this plant flowers with great ease.

Phalaenopsis bellina alba

This Phal.bellina alba is flowering again after a long rest.

Dendrobium chrysotoxum

This plant of Dendrobium chrysotoxum is finally going to flower after many years in cultivation.  Previously, some flower spikes were initiated but failed to develop properly and dried up after they reach an inch in length.  This time 2 flower spikes developed  and managed to produce some flower buds.  They should open in a couple of days.

Phalaenopsis pulchra

This is a Phalaenopsis pulchra which i bought last year at the Singapore Garden Festival from YihCheng's booth.  The flower's color is a shiny deep blue-violet which is a desirable trait.  The thing about pulchra is its shape.  You got to accept it for what it is ; a flower with backward curving petals and sepals,   But it is a must-have because it is so free flowering.  This flower is on an old flower spike that produced a keiki (behind the flower).

Phalaenopsis bellina

A very nice Phalaenopsis bellina from Moi Hwa Nursery.  Not the very expensive rounded form but still a very beautiful flower.

Dendrobium prenticei

This is another plant of Dendrobium prenticei.  The color of the flower on this plant is different than that of the plant i posted on March 22.  The lip of this flower is bright orange in color and the flower look as though it is sticking out its tongue.  Also, the flower has a white background instead of yellowish.
