This dendrobium is either called Song2 or SongSong. It is a cross made by Mr. Phua Gik Song of Song Orchids. Not many survived in his nursery so a few years ago i had to try very hard to beg him to sell me one plant after we saw that one of the 4 surviving plants had flowered, carrying a spray of very delightful yellowish green flower with strong Den. capra influence.
pretty nice picture...I do love orchid too but seems it's quite hard to take care of..
ReplyDeletegot a non-flowering pot from him too.. . still haven't flower yet.. find that the leaves wither very easily.
ReplyDeleteAny advice on how to take care of it?
Hmmmm... Not too sure about that. My plant has leaves only on the newest growth which is flowering now. The older canes are all without flowers but i think it belongs to the group of dendrobiums that sheds its leaves after some time. But this does not mean the older canes will not flower again.
ReplyDeleteI grow mine exposed to the morning sun but slightly shaded from 10 -11 pm onwards.
Hope your plant flower soon.
