Phalaenopsis bellina

A rounded bellina from LMH nursery many years ago. Generally the bigger and more rounded the flowers are, the more expensive is the plant. However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and there are some growers who collects plants with 'ugly' features such as backward curving petals, thin petals or inward curving lateral sepals. These traits are found in most plants collected from the wild many years ago. Nowadays, wild plants are fast disappearing due to over collection and destruction of natural habitat.
