Paphiopedilums in Flower

A Paph. niveum with very small flowers. This is the first time the plant flower after i bought it from Song Orchids. The plant produced two small but cute flowers. One Paph seller said that this is a small flowered variety recently introduced in Thailand.
A concolor is also in flower now. This plant has dark green mottled leaves instead of the usual lighter green. The recent rain caused some of my paphs to develop bacteria rot but luckily some survived after soaking them in Physan solution.

  1. Hi, Just drop by and saw your gorgeous collection of all the wonderful orchids.
Im new on orchids and wanting to get them bloom.
Saw your introduction as when you mention on ikan bilis heads for flowering. Does that really work? Any setbacks?
    I concerned for ants.
Do drop by blog and check on my orchid plants and suggest to me.
    Thanks a million.

  2. Hi James, you have a nice blog and the pictures that you took are so beautiful. In singapore we can sometimes find Eulophia graminea growing amongst the compost placed around trees too. As for the ikan bilis head, don't worry just drop a few around the roots and see what happens. I did not experience ant problem the last time i did it. Thanks for sharing your blog.
