Dendrobium anosmum is one of the orchids that grow very well in our weather. Mine usually flowers near chinese new year.







Dendrobium anosmum alba. They smell just like the purple form.
This picture was taken while some of the buds are unopen.







This picture shows all the flowers open. Anosmum's smell seems to attract lots of fruit flies which lands on the flowers and starts licking the surface. They are so engrossed that it is very easy to catch them using a plastic bag.





Fruit flies caught using a plastic bag. I can easily catch more than 10 of them every day when anosmums are in flower.








The eagle has landed..... commencing licking operation...
