Variation in Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi 'Red'

This plant was among the cornu-cervi 'Red' which i bought from HS nursery in the hope of getting a pure red form. As it turned out, the flowers on this plant showed bars similar to the regular cornu-cervis instead of a pure color.
